The Challenge
The client had provided a reference photo for the floral centerpieces they envisioned for each table. After requesting mock-ups from multiple florists, it became clear that the proposed arrangements did not reflect the client's desired look or quality.
Rather than compromising the design, Selah Events made the decision to pivot on the day of load-in.
The team:
-
Evaluated multiple floral options.
-
Sourced replacement arrangements on short notice.
-
Selected bouquets that most closely matched the client's vision.
-
Coordinated delivery and installation without disrupting the event schedule.
By responding quickly and maintaining a high design standard, Selah Events ensured the finished event reflected the client's original vision while preserving the overall timeline and guest experience.
Results & Client Feedback
The CalSTART Ride & Drive event successfully achieved the client's objectives by delivering a polished, well-organized event while elevating the attendee experience through thoughtful design and seamless execution.
Despite navigating last-minute permitting requirements, evolving client requests, inventory shortages, and vendor coordination, Selah Events successfully delivered the event on schedule and without disruption.

Client Feedback

"The event went well. Selah employees did great. We absolutely loved the networking area—it was a hit."
The upgraded networking spaces became one of the event's most celebrated features, validating the decision to move beyond the client's traditional event format and invest in a more intentional attendee experience.
A Point of Pride
While every aspect of the event required careful planning and coordination, the networking lounges stand out as one of Selah Events' proudest accomplishments.
What began as a request for a simple gathering space evolved into two thoughtfully designed networking environments featuring comfortable lounge seating, floral arrangements, colorful umbrellas, and curated décor. More than just beautiful spaces, these lounges created an inviting atmosphere where attendees could comfortably connect, build relationships, and extend conversations beyond the scheduled program.
This project reflects what Selah Events strives to bring to every client engagement: strategic planning, creative problem-solving, operational excellence, and experiences that leave a lasting impression.
